The
Goretti vineyards are situated on the
outskirts of Perugia and extend
over a hilly terrain dominated by a
fourteenth century tower of historic value which is the emblem
found on the label of Goretti Wines. These are both located in the center
of an area classified as: "D.O.C. Colli Perugini". The cellars,
have been handed down from father to son and combine an old tradition of
wine-making (typical of the culture from Umbrian) with the most
sophisticated modern techniques The commitment taken on by the family
members directly responsible, Stefano and Gianluca Goretti, is in the
research and selection of the typical grapes from Umbrian (Grechetto,
Trebbiano, Sangiovese) and the introduction of grapes, such as Chardonnay,
which are not widely spread throughout Umbrian, with the object of raising
the classification of their Umbrian wine to a national and
international
